Yerevan, Armenia

We are pleased to announce the release of the CYFEST 16 Yerevan catalogue, a comprehensive record of the Armenian edition of the international media art festival, held from November 13 to December 1, 2024.

Curated under the theme “Archive of Feelings. A Journey,” the catalogue explores the interplay between human emotion and emerging technologies. It brings together works by over 80 international artists across a range of media—installations, sound pieces, video art, and virtual environments—presented at key Yerevan venues including the “HayArt” Centre, the Yerevan Botanical Garden, and the State Philharmonia of Armenia.

In addition to documenting the main exhibition, the publication covers the full scope of the festival’s programs:

– a performance program featuring sound art, concerts, and live acts;

– a video program focused on experimental cinema and moving image works;

– and a learning program of talks, discussions, and educational formats engaging local and international participants.

The catalog also includes curatorial texts, artwork descriptions, and extensive photo documentation. A special section is dedicated to the memory of Phill Niblock, a pioneering composer and long-time CYFEST collaborator.

Whether you joined us in person or are discovering CYFEST 16 from afar, the catalogue offers a welcoming space to revisit, reflect, and connect with the ideas and experiences that unfolded in Yerevan.
