LASER TALKS

Leonardo/ISAST LASER Talks is a global program of gatherings that bring together artists, scientists, humanists, and technologists for informal presentations, performances, and conversations with the wider public. The mission of LASER is to enrich the cultural fabric of each region by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and opportunities for community building — a network that now spans over fifty cities across five continents.

Since September 2020, CYLAND MediaArtLab has been the official representative of Leonardo LASER Talks. The CYLAND LASER series convenes practitioners from across disciplines — art, physics, ecology, artificial intelligence, cognitive studies, and beyond — to share their ideas in concise presentations followed by open discussion.

Each session explores the process of discovery and experimentation: how artistic and scientific methods can inform, challenge, and expand one another. The aim is not to reach consensus, but to cultivate curiosity — creating a space where multiple forms of knowledge can meet, interact, and coexist.
